This Carolina BBQ Sauce is a tangy, spicy, thin, vinegar-based sauce. This is an easy "dump-and-go" sauce recipe that anyone can make. A traditional sauce that will also show your friends you really know your way around BBQ!
Combine all ingredients into a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer until all ingredients are combined.
Set aside to cool. It can be stored up to two months or used immediately.
Notes
If the Carolina BBQ sauce is too spicy for you, then you can add more vinegar to the mixture to tone it down.Depending on how much you smoke and BBQ, you may want to make more. We typically will make a ½- to 1-gallon at a time as we use it frequently.
