Skip the take-out and make this Easy Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry at home on your Blackstone griddle or stovetop instead. This tasty restaurant quality in less than 30-minutes that will have your family lining up for seconds and thirds. Serve on a bed of jasmine or basmati rice for a complete meal.
1poundbeefsirloin, flank, or rib eye; sliced in thin strips cut against the grain
4cupsfrozen broccolithawed or partially cooked
Marinade or Stir Fry Sauce Ingredients
2teaspoons gingerfresh, grated
3teaspoons garlicminced
½cupwater
7tablespoonssoy saucereduced sodium
3tablespoonsbrown sugar
2teaspoonscornstarch
¼teaspoonpepper
1 ½ teaspoonsrice wine vinegar
¼teaspoonhot red pepper flakescan increase to ½ teaspoon
Instructions
Slice the beef into very thin strips. To help this process you can place the meat into the freezer for 20-minutes prior to slicing.
Put the broccoli on the counter to thaw, or partially cook in the microwave for half the recommended time on the package.
Combine in a large measuring cup or small bowl all of the ingredients in the marinade section. Whisk together thoroughly. The marinade can be made the night before and stored separately from the beef.
Place the sliced beef in a bowl or plastic bag. Pour the prepared marinade over the beef and marinate for 15-minutes. This step can be done up to four hours in advance.
Making this on the Blackstone Griddle
Preheat the Blackstone to 325- to 350-degrees. Add the beef with the marinade to the cooktop. Cook stirring frequently for about 5-minutes.
Move the beef to one side of the grill, and add the broccoli to the other side. Cook the broccoli for two-minutes then combine with the beef to cook for another minute.
Remove to serving bowl or platter then serve immediately. Refrigerate leftovers for up to one week.
Making this on the stove top
Preheat a large frying pan on medium heat. Add the beef with marinade to the pan. Cook for five-minutes and then add in the broccoli. Cook for another 3-minutes then serve immediately.
