This Honey Soy Salmon is an easy restaurant quality recipe done in less than 30-minutes on the Blackstone Griddle or stove top. Perfectly seared salmon filets that are glazed with a sweet and savory sticky sauce that will have everyone in your family converted to a seafood lover by the end of dinner.
Mix together in a large measuring cup or small bowl all the ingredients in the glaze ingredients section. Whisk together thoroughly and set aside.
Remove the skin from the salmon filets, and cut each filet in half. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat the Blackstone griddle to 350- to 375-degrees. The burners should be on the lower side of settings.
Add some olive oil to the griddle. Add the salmon filets to cook. Salmon filets should be visibly cooked up to 75% of the thickness of the filets. Cover with dome in order to cook the salmon quicker to prevent burning.
Flip and finish cooking the salmon.
Add the glazing mixture to the griddle. Use a spatula to keep it on the griddle. Coat the salmon in the glaze. Once the glaze has thickened remove salmon and glaze from the griddle.
Serve immediately, or store for up two to three days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This can stored in the freezer for up to three months in freezer containers.
Notes
Be sure to choose fresh salmon with no fishy smell. Fish is best cooked the day you buy it. Remember to keep your grill temperature on the lower side so the glaze doesn't burn when added to the grill. If you want a sweeter glaze then change the measurements of the soy sauce and honey to ⅓ cup each.
